About me

Hi, I am Marijo and I am a passionate counsellor, clinical supervisor and trainer that has worked in community, therapeutic and education settings for over 20 years.

I use a relational, systemic, narrative and trauma responsive approach that is curious and seeks to understand the full experience and unique contexts of people’s lives. I value collaboration and the existing strengths, abilities and knowledge of those that I work with and alongside.

My experience includes individual, couple and family therapy, case management, group work, program design, community development and training. I have worked in various contexts including youth services, family support, migrant and refugee services, family violence, mental health and in education institutions.

In 2020, I was a recipient of a double lung transplant. I am passionate about organ donation and supporting other patients and caregivers during the transplant journey, as well as people with all forms of chronic illness and/or disability.
